Nassau Council of Arts and Culture has been awarded an Emerging Opportunities Grant of $10,000 from The Community Foundation of Northeast Florida. This is good news for the future of arts and culture in Nassau County, especially the mid-county and emerging rural communities.
Amy Palmer, Program Director at The Community Foundation, emphasized the importance of this investment, stating: “Because of the significant impact Nassau Council of Arts and Culture will have on Nassau County as its officially designated local arts agency, we are pleased to award this Emerging Opportunities Grant. These grants support timely projects and organizations that address community needs, leverage other funding opportunities, and promote collaboration.”
Richard Restiano, President of the Nassau Council of Arts and Culture, expressed gratitude for the award.
“This grant is transformative. We can extend our mission to cover mid-county and rural Nassau County and build lasting connections through the arts.
“In spring of 2025 grants will be available to the arts organizations and artists in Nassau County. We anticipate 5-7 grants of $1,000 each.”
